Cheap, The best wine saver I’ve used thus far, This is the third one that I buy. One for home, one for my parent’s home, and one for our country home. It seems to be the most practical and inexpensive wine saver around. Make sure you get the new model with the ‘clicking’ sound. Although not essential, it lets you know when to stop pumping. Great Product, We’ve owned and used this wine saver now for about three years. It saves our wines quite nicely. We put a saver on our white wine, and lay the bottle on its side in the refrigerator. No drips or leakage. Our red wines, which we leave out, depending on the quality of the wine, retains its taste for a few days. We’ve since then purchased a set and extra plugs for my husbands parents. They also like it. Buy it. Its cheap and saves your wine.
Wine Saver is a vacuum pump which extracts the air from an opened bottle and reseals it with a reusable rubber stopper. It slows down the oxidation process and keeps the wine fresh for 7 to 10 days

Cheap, Wine Saver, This was our second purchase of the Vacu Vin. We bought this one for our second home. My wife enjoys a glass or two with dinner and using the Vacu Vin gives her another day to enjoy a bottle of wine. The price is a bargain and that extra day saves me a lot of money.
Vacu-Vin wine saver system. The only thing sadder than pouring spoiled wine down the drain is not opening it at all because you can’t finish the bottle at one meal. The one and only, original Vacu-Vin, used in more than 10 million homes worldwide, is the easiest, most affordable way to preserve opened wines. The Vacu-Vin pump removes the air (and the oxygen that spoils wine) from opened bottles. Place it over the reusable stopper and pump out the air. The more stoppers you have, the more bottles you can save! One-year warranty. Includes one pump and two stoppers. Gift boxed. Fits any size or type wine bottle. Additonal stoppers available here
Wine should breathe a little, but not overnight. Putting an end to the oxidation process, which turns a favorite Merlot into vinegar, is easy with the Vacu Vin Wine Saver. Made from high-quality rubber, which will not affect the taste of the wine, the Wine Saver uses a vacuum-style pump to release air to keep a wine fresh. And it’s easy to use–just place a stopper in a bottle’s neck, place the pump over the stopper, and pump air out until some resistance is felt. This process is suitable for preserving all but sparkling wines, and will save Chiantis, Syrahs, and others for up to two weeks. –Madeleine Miller

Cheap, Make Great Hamburger Buns, I bought Chicago Metallic pan to make hamburger buns with. The well dimensions at about 4 inches across, and 3-1/2 inches at the bottom and 1/2 inch deep. Makes six hamburger buns at a time. To make just, take your favorite bread dough, roll a piece of dough about 3 t 3-1/2 ounces, place in greased pan, cover and let rise until doubles in size. Brush with egg whites and sprinkle with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or dehydrated minced onion. Bake per instructions, just check on after 15 minutes or so. Works out great, my buns came out the same size. (I make a 1 pound dough in the bread machine (about 2-1/2 cups of flour) and split it into 6 equal pieces.) If you are going to use a pan like this to make burger buns, this is a great size for a standard bun which is 4 inches. Some other pans out there make smaller buns. And nothing beats homemade bread, and using the bread machine, no reason for any one not to make their own now. But 2 pans and make a 2 pound bread dough in the bread machine and make 12 buns at a time.
Chicago Metallic GOURMETWARE combines the best in material and the latest in manufacturing technology. These non-stick steel pans are designed specifically with the home baker in mind. The slick non-stick coating is applied before the pan is formed so i

Cheap Oster 3186, I am completely tickled by how fun this juicer is to use. I read the reviews on a half-dozen under-$40 juicers, and after all the talk of wattage and comparing strainers I just gotta say: Any one of these juicers is better than not having this much fun for one more day! I’ve made three large pitchers of lemonade now. The motor seems fine for reaming citrus; the directions say not to juice continuously for too long. Sometimes it’s tricky to get the "reverse direction" feature to kick in. The directions say "hand wash only," but life is too short: I put the pitcher, strainer, and rasp all in the dishwasher–so far to no ill effect. The plastic top cover just keeps the dust out when not in use.
This is the best under-$20 I’ve spent in the kitchen in a long time!
Get the most juice from citrus fruits with this automatic juicer. The unit’s reverse-action motor ensures enhanced juice extraction, while its smooth, quiet operation won’t wake people in the morning. The 150-watt juicer also comes equipped with a pulp and seed separator for great-tasting pulp-free juice. Even more, its 27-ounce detachable pitcher, with a generous handle and drip-free spout, makes it easy to serve family and friends right at the table. Other highlights include a convenient juice-level indicator, an automatic on/off switch for safety, and simple cord storage. In its stylish, contemporary housing, the juicer measures 6 by 8-1/4 by 9 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Cheap, Love this juicer!,This is actually the first product review I have written, but I was so pleased with this product that I just couldn’t resist writing about it; best $25 I have spent in a while. If you are someone who enjoys a cocktail now and then, this is a must-have for your bar. I make mojitos with some frequency in the summer, and I swear I was getting carpal tunnel syndrome from squeezing so many limes with a manual juicer! This juicer makes quick, easy work of juicing citrus fruits, and I have also been really impressed with the quantity of juice that is extracted. I love that it has two different sized reamers for different sized fruits. It also has plenty of power – something that took me by surprise (despite the great reviews, I was expecting the motor to be pretty anemic; not so). The other great feature is that it senses the pressure when you put a fruit on the reamer and starts and stops automatically. Not difficult to clean either. Great product…can’t recommend highly enough…I plan to order several for little gifts, particularly for cocktail-drinking friends!
With a capacity of more than a quart (34 ounces), this electric juicer can prepare family-size portions with little operator effort. Large and small cones fit on the reamer to accommodate different-size fruits. The reamer automatically reverses itself to extract the maximum amount of juice, while a stirrer presses juice from the pulp in the strainer. Finally, there’s an adjustable control that regulates how much pulp goes into the juice, a feature margarita fanciers will welcome. For storage, the cord wraps in a slot around the base, and a cover protects against dust. Hand wash this juicer in warm soapy water. –Fred Brack
Editor’s Choice:A great first juicer, or a good juicer for someone who doesn’t juice every day, Black & Decker’s CitrusMate Plus citrus juicer is our choice for best citrus juicer under $50. It will fit into every budget and still deliver lots of fresh juice. This juicer is extremely easy to use, as you just install the cone you want to use (it comes with two cones, making it adaptable for different sizes of fruit), plug it in, and press the fruit down into the cone. Then it goes to work automatically.

This electric food chopper accomplishes a food processor’s principal function of chopping and mincing without having to haul out the big machine. It’s just 8 inches high and 4-3/4 inches in diameter, and its 3-cup bowl is ample for many chores in a family household and most chores in a one or two-person household. At 150 watts, the motor is powerful enough to chop or mince vegetables, fruits, herbs, cheese, nuts, chocolate, cooked meats, and bread. The power head has a soft grip for easy one-handed use. The rugged, plastic bowl; its slip-resistant base, which doubles as the bowl’s lid for storing food; and the stainless-steel blade are all dishwasher-safe. –Fred Brack

Cheap, Chops like a charm!, My mom had used a similar product and recommended this chopper to me. This is the best piece of equipment I have ever had in my kitchen! Granted, I do not own expensive kitchen gadgets, but for the price, the Black and Decker EHC650 Food Chopper does an awesome job chopping up basic veggies. Easy to clean and assemble/disassemble. Chops up onions and cabbage very finely. If you are not too hung up about perfect sized pieces, this chopper is the way to go. I have only ever had to use the 1st speed. Low-carb fans – cauliflower ‘rice’ is a piece of cake with this chopper!

Cheap, Love this slow cooker! Great features!, Hamilton Beach 33967 is a fabulous slow cooker! It has been used almost weekly and each meal has been easy and tasty. Great to walk home to the smell of dinner! As one who does not like to cook, this is a must-have appliance. The price is right as it was more expensive at a local discount store. Have not used the temperature probe yet. I would highly recommend it!
Product Description
Family Size 6 quart oval Programmable slow cooker with flat panel digital read-out and stainless steel base for easy storage and clean-up, plus separate temperature probe for large cuts of meat. No more over cooked or under cooked beef or poultry as the probe reads the internal temperature as it cooks and automatically switches to keep warm once set temperature is reached . Operates in three different cook settings including manual cook mode. Easy to read LED digital control panel and timer for setting preferred cooking time. Other features include a clip-on spoon and a clip-tight gasket lid.
Enjoy healthy, home-cooked meals even with a busy schedule thanks to this easy-to-use programmable 6-quart slow cooker. Simply add ingredients to the unit’s oval-shaped stoneware pot, insert the pot into the electric base, and select one of three automatic-cooking options–program, manual, or probe–using the flat-panel push-button control panel with digital display. Especially convenient when away from home, program mode cooks for a specified amount of time, then automatically shifts to keep-warm so food doesn’t overcook. Manual mode allows for selecting high or low heat settings–great for cooking the traditional way without setting the time or for heating up previously cooked food. When cooking a large cut of meat or using a recipe that requires food to reach a certain temperature, use the probe mode. The included thermometer probe takes the guesswork out of slow cooking. After reaching the desired internal food temperature, the slow cooker automatically shifts to keep-warm. The thoughtfully designed slow cooker also provides attractive stainless-steel housing, power-interrupt protection, a clip-on spoon, a clip-tight gasket lid, and full-grip handles for safe transport. The removable stoneware and tempered-glass lid clean up easily by hand or in the dishwasher, and a user manual with recipes comes included. Cheap, This is a GREAT egg cooker, We have used this cooker for about two months now and it poaches, soft boils and hard boils eggs perfectly! The whole timing issue is determined by adding the correct amount of water for what you are trying to do. You pick the range: soft, medium, hard and the number of eggs you want to cook. Start with the recommended combinations and make slight adjustments to the amount of water based on doneness preference. Once you find your combination, you will wonder how you ever got along without this cooker – and you will be eating a lot more eggs. The buzzer lets you know when they’re done, and you can flip the selector over to ‘keep warm’ with only a very slight additional cooking. This beats boiling them on the stove top by an energy saving mile.
This cooker boils up to seven eggs at one time or poaches one or two eggs in trays. You can use the calibrated water-level indicator to pour the precise amount of water needed to soft-, medium-, or hard-boil one to seven eggs. The indicator (a tube) has a steel pin in the bottom for piercing eggshells; this will leech out the sulfur so yolks remain yellow during cooking rather than turning green. Assuming the proper amount of water is in the egg holder, the timer will ensure the eggs are cooked to the desired level, and then indicates with a light and bell when the hard-boiling is completed. You can then set the timer switch to keep the eggs warm. The plastic egg holder is removable, letting you cool the eggs under running water. Everything cleans easily, including the nonstick coating on top of the boiling plate. The cooker measures 9-1/8 inches wide and 5-1/4 inches high. –Fred Brack

Cheap, Perfect for very fast and perfect poached eggs. I used to have a 2 cup microwave egg poacher and I loved it, but eventually lost it during a move. Rather than eat fast food egg and English muffin sandwiches I wanted to make my own (more economical) so I thought I would try this out. I purchased two of them (one for home and one for work). Every time I have used it it has produced perfect poached eggs. Two things to remember:
1) Poke the egg whites and yolk a lot or they will explode under the cover.
2) Use the time that the instructions say – they really do cook in a minute. It’s easy to over/under cook if you prefer one or the other.
I highly recommend this poacher for those of us who like poached eggs but don’t want to go through the hassle of making them in a pan of water and vinegar.
